February 2011

Its a very exciting time here at The Last Word. We are currently working towards starting several large projects this year.

The NHS have asked us to translate some films we previously made into several languages. Its a hugely fascinating insight into the cultural diversities of somewhere like Wandsworth, that languages like Somali, Polish, Urdu, Tamil and Bengali are treated with such equality with English. If, according to David Cameron, multi culturalism has failed, it isnt evident in Wandsworth where multi culturalism is a standard way of life.

We are also working towards securing a potentially massive 3D project in Qatar – but this is still a way off for us, although our MD, Andrew Gemmell, is flying to Doha in February to begin talks with the PR company there.

We have also been asked by Disney to pitch for several pieces of work. We are thrilled to have been asked, and are beavering away at several ideas that might excite them. We were very close to winning a large piece of work last year with them, so we know they like us…! Fingers crossed.

We are very happy to nominate the Dallaglio foundation as our Charity of choice for the forseeable future. We helped them with their hugely successful 8rocks night in November, where stars like JLS and Alexandra Burke performed in front of the likes of Prince Harry and of course Lawrence Dallaglio. Lawrence very kindly wrote us a note giving us his thoughts, and you can read it here.

We will continue to post news, thoughts and blogs throughout 2011.
